Challenge: How do we create a new user flow that users feel secure and easy to import their financial data into Spotlight App?

Goals: Create a new journey where users can self-navigate and import their data effectively.

Problem: The current user flow of the Import Data feature is not intuitive. The task flow and interface hadn’t been integrated from various versions of features added up. Often it requires initial training for the first-time users to import data which could be ineffective in costs and time.

Product Research:

As there are various sources for importing data, I listed all sources and defined the user flow of each source including:
▫️ Excel
▫️ Google Analysis
▫️ MYOB Desktop
▫️ MYOB Online
▫️ Quickbooks Desktop
▫️ Quickbooks Online
▫️ Sage 50 Desktop
▫️ Xero
▫️ Personal Wealth – Excel
▫️ Personal Wealth – Manual
▫️ Workflow Max
▫️ XPM. Xero Practice Manager

User Flows of all import data sources

From mapping down the task flows required for each import source, we were able to identify four scenarios of the essential steps that users take to import their business data successfully.
